Evans’ deep drawn and progressive die beryllium stampings

Beryllium copper alloys are strong and highly conductive but non-sparking.

Beryllium is an important element in producing age-hardening copper alloys that are used in electrical contacts, fuse clips, switch parts, springs, fasteners, and non-sparking components.

Beryllium copper alloys are frequently specified because they combine the strength of beryllium with the high conductivity of copper. These alloys can be heat-treated.

Beryllium copper pieces are often plated, sometimes with gold, to improve surface conductivity in hostile environments. If strength is not of major importance, unalloyed copper is sometimes used for relatively inexpensive high conductivity pieces.
