Sintered Crucible

Not so simple as it appears.
We engineer tight-tolerance refractory metal crucibles for sintering industrial diamonds. These deep-drawn metal crucibles can be tantalum, niobium, titanium and molybdenum.
To be prepared for quick turnaround we keep an extensive stock of .005” and .010” thick tantalum, for example, so that we can manufacture custom-designed prototype crucible orders in as little as two weeks. Diameters can be as small as .040”. Depths up to 2.00”. Thicknesses from .003” to .080”.
This is a unique design for a specific polycrystalline diamond. We used 14-station stamping presses, creating two-part niobium high precision containers capable of withstanding extremely hot sintering.
This shape was round, but crucible, cup and cannister shapes can be round or multi-sided, symmetrical or eccentric.
Secondary operations included piercing, tapping, grooving, rolling, de-burring, grinding, forming, finishing, plating and assembly.
